Regulars - FTP Information

Clients can post and retrieve large files consisting of their audio and video using our FTP site. I recommend the ftp client browser Fetch (for Mac) or Fireftp (for both Mac and PC).

To get access to our ftp site you will need request our ftp info from alex@audiokitchenpost.com.

You can find low cost ftp client software options easily on the web. If you are having trouble with these free-use transfer options, Yousendit is a user-friendly option.

Fetch: http://fetchsoftworks.com/

Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/fireftp/

Yousendit: https://www.yousendit.com/

General FTP Guidelines

Although "Native Program Files" can be transferred via FTP with no problem, we recommend that you protect your files during the transfer through the WEB by compressing your files into a .ZIP file or a StuffIT file .sit or .sitx to minimize the rare occurance of file corruption.

All file names should NOT have spaces. Make sure that if you do need a space, you use an underscore "_" or a hyphen "-" instead. So, your file name should look like the following examples...

"file_name.filetype" or "file-name.filetype"

Audio Kitchen will accept only the following file types... all others will no be allowed to upload...

Compression File Types:
.zip .sit .sitx
Audio File Types:
.wav .aif .omf .mp3 .sd2 .aaf
Meta Data or session extensions:
.ptf .disc
Large documents:
.pdf .xls .doc .docx
Movie files:
.mov .dv .mp4 .avi .wmv .3gp .m4v
